Roccstar was born on October 31 in the year 1989 in Los Angeles, California. His real name is Leon Youngblood Jr. He was born to Ginger and Leon Youngblood Sr. He grew up with four siblings. Youngblood studied at Hollywood High School.

Roccstar came to the limelight after he started working with the singer, Chris Brown in 2013. He wrote and produced six songs with Timbaland and Diplo on Chris Brown’s album “X”.
Roccstar then continued to write multiple tracks for the singer, J. Lo’s album which was released in 2014. Since he started his career, he has worked with many known music artists such as Usher, Post Malone, Rita Ora, Prince Royce, Fergie, Kendrick Lamar, and Melissa Etheridge.
The music producer claimed further recognition after he was featured on the soundtrack album of the movie “Fifty Shades of Grey” for a song titled Rude. The track earned a nomination for the Grammy award for the best soundtrack in December 2015.
Roccstar was featured as a supporting cast member on Season 5 of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood in 2018. In the reality series, he got involved in a rivalry with A1.
