Chasing Horse started his acting career in 1990 when he was just 14 years old. He portrayed the young Sioux tribe member Smiles a lot in Kevin Costner’s movie “Dances with Wolves”.
After that, Chasing Horse went on to appear in three TNT telefilms with actor Eric Schweig, who is known for his role as Chingachgook’s son Uncas in “The Last of the Mohicans”. He appeared in three films “The Broken Chain”, “Into the West”, and “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee”.
His last acting credit was in 2007. Since then, he has been giving speaking engagements and workshops on spirituality. He also gained a reputation among tribes across the US and Canada as a ‘medicine man’ who performed healing ceremonies. However, it turned out he used his position to abuse young Native American girls.

In 205, he was banned from the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana after he attempted to hold a Sun Dance ceremony. He was identified as a safety threat due to charges of human trafficking, sexual abuse, drug dealing, and intimidation of tribal members.
Chasing Horse was arrested on January 31, 2023, near the North Las Vegas home. Police officers conducted a SWAT team raid on his house. According to a 50-page search warrant obtained by the AP, police uncovered sexual allegations against Chasing Horse in multiple states including Montana, South Dakota, and Nevada. He is believed to be the cult leader of “The Circle”.
During the raid, memory cards with videos of the sexual assaults, 41 pounds of marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms were obtained in his home.
Chasing Horse has now been charged with sex trafficking, sexual assault of a child younger than 16, and child abuse. He has also been accused of recording sexual assaults and arranging sex with the victims for other men who paid him.
