Joel Dahmen became the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 3A state golf champion twice while playing at Clarkston High School. Thereafter, he played at the University of Washington for one year. Dahmen turned professional in 2010 and competed on PGA Tour Canada.
Dahmen didn’t get much success when competing on PGA Tour Canada. He eventually won the Order of Merit in 2014 and got his Web.com Tour card for 2015. In late 2014, he competed in 3 events on PGA Tour Latinoamerica where he tied for second in two of the events.
Joel had three top-10 finished while competing on the Web.com Tour in 2015. He was also able to cut in 12 out of 25 events. Even though he made it to the Web.com Tour Finals, he could not earn a PGA Tour card.
In 2016, he returned to the Web.com Tour and made 13 cuts in 20 regular season events. At the end of the 2016 season, he finished 25th on the money list and earned his PGA Tour card. In the 2016-17 PGA Tour season, he had his best finish of T9 and 176 in the FedEx Cup rankings.
Dahmen continued his good form and finished 24th in the Web.com Tour Finals. Following that, he regained his PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season. In 2019, he competed at the Wells Fargo Championship and got his first career PGA Tour victory over Max Homa by three strokes.
