Joe Burrow was born on the 10th of December, 1996 in Ames, Iowa. He was raised by his parents, Jim and Robin Burrow. His father is a retired football player and coach. At 5 years of age, he attended the 2002 Rose Bowl. Back then, his dad was working as an assistant coach for Nebraska. Following that, he started playing in youth football leagues.
Joe was chosen to start as a quarterback as the youth team had no other players who could play in that position. He moved to Fargo, North Dakota in 2003 after his father was appointed as defensive coordinator for the NCAA’s North Dakota State Bison. He lived in Fargo for two years and then moved to Athens, Ohio where his father was hired as the defensive coordinator at Ohio University.

Burrow studied at the Athens High School. He leads the school team to its first 7 playoff victories. Joe made 11,416 yards, 157 passing touchdowns, and rushed for 2067 yards during his school career.
