Gregory John Gutfeld was born in San Mateo, California on 12th September 1964, to his parents, Alfred Jack and Jacqueline Bernice Gutfeld. He studied at Junipero Serra High School. In 1987, he came out holding a University degree from the University of California, Berkeley 1987.

Gret started working as an intern at the conservative online magazine, The American Spectator after he finished college. At the same time, he was also serving as an assistant to a conservative magazine editor, R. Emmett Tyrrell. He further expanded his experience by working at Prevention magazine, and Rodale Press magazines. In 1999, he became editor-in-chief of Men’s Health. Then, he left the position after a year and joined consumer electronics magazine, Stuff.
Gutfeld was able to increase the circulation of the magazine to 1.2 million from 750 thousand. However, Greg lost his job in 2003, after hiring several dwarfs who would attend a conference of “Magazine Publishers of America”, where they could raise their voice loud and be annoying as possible. After he was fired, he served for Maxim magazine and The Huffington Post. In February 2007, he joined the Fox News Channel as a host of the show “Red Eye”.
Gutfeld started hosting his own talk show called “The Gret Gutfeld Show” on Fox News on May 31, 2015. In March 2021, he made an announcement of his new weeknight show, which would be premier on April 5, with the name “Gutfeld!”. The show eventually premiered on Fox and overtook the popular show “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ in nightly ratings. Greg’s show even became the highest-rated late-night talk show in U. S.
Gutfeld made himself into a controversy after he commented on a Canadian Armed Forces during a Red Eye segment in March 2009. In the segment, he along with other panels were discussing the statement passed by Canadian Lieutenant-General, Andrew Leslie, where Leslie said Canadian Armed Forces may require 1 year synchronized break once they get over their mission in Afghanistan in 2011. Gutfeld put his point and said that Isn’t this the perfect time to invade this ridiculous country, they have no army!
Gutfeld later apologized for his satirical comment, after Canadian Defence Minister, Peter MacKay found the remarks despicable, hurtful and ignorant, and called on Fox to apologize. Likewise, in the 2020 presidential election, he supported Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud after Joe Biden defeated Trump. He also supported the Trump supporters when they attacked United States Capitol claiming that it was justified.
